The goal of the Health Department is to promote environmental public health to the community by providing awareness of city and county sponsored environmental programs and code enforcement. This is accomplished in a number of areas:

• Environmental health and sanitation
• Solid waste
• Private sewage disposal
• Junk on private property
• Food establishments
• Public swimming pools
• Vector and mosquito control
