Paul Freese Picture

The city treasurer is an official elected city-wide, charged with the responsibility of signing the city's checks and bond issues and serving as an advocate for the voters on financial matters.

The position also has a number of other responsibilities assigned by State Law, City Ordinance, and other actions by the City Council.

Paul Freese was first appointed as City Treasurer in February of 2008 to complete an unexpired term of Scott Gowen and then he was elected as City Treasurer in April of 2008.

Paul has been employed with Commerce Bank as a Financial Service Representative since 2006.  Before that he worked in the Retail industry for 19 years, 17 of which he was a manager.

Paul has served on the Arnold Parks and Open Space Advisory Board for 3 years 2 of which he was Vice-president.  He has been a member of the Fox Elementary Parents Club since 2004 and the last two years as President.  Paul is a member of the Hometown Steering Committee.

Paul and his wife Rachelle have lived in Arnold since 2000 with their two sons Jeremy and Ryan.
