Public Notice of Amendments to Adopted 2021 Building Codes

The City Council of the City of Arnold, Missouri will have an ordinance on the Council Agenda for adoption on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 7:00 P.M. at 2101 Jeffco Blvd, Arnold, MO. The following previously adopted codes are to be modified as part of amendments to Title V (Buildings and Construction) of the Code of Ordinances:

• 2021 International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC)

At least one copy of the amendments referenced above are on file in the City Clerk’s Office and will be available, pursuant to RSMo 67.280, for public use, inspection and examination for a period of ninety (90) days prior to the adoption of the Ordinance, and will remain available to the public upon adoption of the Ordinance.

City of Arnold Appoints Anthony Traxler as New City Administrator

Arnold, MO – October 3, 2025 — The City of Arnold is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Traxler as its new City Administrator. Traxler brings more than 29 years of local government experience to the role, including six years as a City Administrator or City Manager.

Anthony’s extensive background spans a wide range of municipal leadership responsibilities from managing growth in rapidly expanding residential communities to overseeing large-scale commercial redevelopment projects.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois and a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Policy Analysis from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.

Throughout his career, Traxler has served in key planning and management roles across several municipalities. His early career included positions in the Planning Departments of Champaign, IL, Chesterfield, MO and Maryland Heights, MO. He later served as Assistant to the City Administrator for the City of Frontenac, MO.

Traxler went on to serve as City Administrator for Columbia, IL for four years before joining the City of Maplewood in 2008 as Assistant City Manager and Director of Public Works, where he oversaw the Public Works, Building, and Parks departments.

“We are excited to welcome Anthony to our team,” said Acting City Administrator Bill Lehmann. “His extensive background, combined with his leadership experience in city management, make him an exceptional fit for our community.”

“The City had an extensive hiring process that included several qualified candidates and multiple interviews. Anthony made a very strong impression during the final interview with the City Council. We are grateful for all who participated in this process.”

As City Administrator, Traxler will be responsible for overseeing all administrative staff and city department heads, advising the City Council on municipal operations, preparing and maintaining the annual city budget, and representing the City in official matters.

Anthony Traxler will officially begin his role with the City of Arnold on October 30, 2025.
