Sarah K. Wilde, founder of The Wilde Law Firm, is one of the top-rated family law attorneys in Arnold.
Earlier this year, she was named a “Super Lawyers Rising Star” by Super Lawyers, a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Wilde is also Lead Counsel Rated in the discipline of family law after demonstrating significant experience, a solid reputation through peer endorsements, and a clean disciplinary history.
Wilde practices family law, including matters of adoption, guardianship, divorce, custody and child support. While earning her Juris Doctor degree at Saint Louis University School of Law, Wilde interned at the St. Louis City Family Court – Juvenile Division, where she assisted attorneys in child abuse and neglect cases. During law school, Wilde decided she wanted to focus her law practice primarily in areas of domestic litigation. “Rather than being a business lawyer or real estate attorney, I wanted to practice in areas where I can help make a positive difference in someone’s life,” she says.
“As a wife who has had the privilege of adopting my husband’s two children, I have personally gone through the court system, and know firsthand what my husband has dealt with fighting for custody of his children and what it is like trying to put the best interests of children first when dealing with an ex.”
Wilde is a court-appointed Guardian Ad Litem for Juvenile Abuse and Neglect cases for children in Jefferson County’s Foster Care Program and juvenile delinquency cases. Wilde is also regularly appointed in divorce, paternity, and custody modification cases to represent the best interests of ,children involved in the domestic matter.
A Guardian Ad Litem must be appointed in child “order of protection” cases, or in any case where abuse or neglect is alleged by either parent. It can also be requested by either party to help further the children’s best interests in the family court case.
After earning her license to practice law in 2010, Wilde worked for two law firms in St. Louis, but always with the goal of opening her own firm. In June 2015 she achieved that goal when Wilde Law Firm became a reality. Wilde serves clients from a dedicated office at the Corridor 55 coworking space at 112 Richardson Crossing. There, in addition to her private office, she has 24/7 access to shared workspace, fast, secure internet and Wi-Fi services, unlimited kitchenette privileges, printing, mail services, plus access to a modern conference room and classroom.
“I established my law firm here because Corridor 55 is convenient, cost-efficient, and has all the amenities I need, plus plenty of space to conduct private meetings or legal conferences with families.”
Wilde is the current president of the Jefferson County Women’s Bar Association and also a member of the Jefferson County Bar Association. She grew up in Arnold, attended Fox Senior High School, and lives in Arnold today with her husband and three children. As a lifelong resident, she is thrilled to be working in the same community where she has many friends and family.
“I love my work, even though it is sometimes difficult to see the stress and strain that husbands, wives, and families endure in legal proceedings. We strive to keep the legal process as painless and cost effective as possible for everyone involved.”
