What is a Comprehensive Plan?
A Comprehensive Plan is a document that helps to guide the future growth, development, and preservation of Arnold. The plan will include recommendations for future land use and development, infrastructure improvements, economic development, public area improvements, cultural opportunities, and overall quality of life enhancements for current and future residents. The Comprehensive Plan serves as the primary planning document by which community-based priorities are integrated into policy decisions and public resource investment, the development and implementation of programs, and other Plans that are adopted by reference.
Why is the City updating its Comprehensive Plan?
The City of Arnold is updating is Comprehensive Plan to account for changes that have occurred since the last update, which was in 2011. As Arnold grows and market conditions and preferences evolve, it is important that the City periodically undertake this process to guide its growth through 2035.
Who will lead the Comprehensive Plan Update process?
The Arnold Planning Commission and Community Development Department Staff will be coordinating the Comprehensive Plan update process.
