Strawberry Creek Nature Area encompasses 118 acres of property on Upper Tenbrook Road, about 1/2-mile past the intersection of Tenbrook and Hwy 231.
This nature area is dedicated to the preservation of our natural heritage and includes a pond and four walking trails. Strawberry Creek winds throughout the property, which is filled with a variety of vegetation and wildlife. We invite you to visit often to observe and learn more about the wonders of nature on our several nature trails, a pavilion that seats 35 people (located near the entrance), and portable rest room. (There is no electricity or running water at this site.)
In conjunction with the Missouri Department of Conservation, the City of Arnold Parks & Recreation Department plans to build additional ponds at Strawberry Creek Nature Area that can be used for fishing and will improve wildlife habitat. Plans to install restrooms and pave the parking lot are also in development.
To rent the pavilion or for more information call the Parks & Recreation Department at 636-282-6680. Rentals are available 364 days in advance of the desired rental date.
Please Note: An additional $150 Deposit Fee is required for all pavilion rentals (including pavilion rental for 5k events). The deposit can be paid 30 days prior to the rental date or at time of booking. Deposit fee will be refundable pending satisfactory status of rental area.
